Above The Salt

Great route worthy of 2/3 stars. Climbing is superb and situation even better. Care needed possibly with band of rock at top of the crag. --Dave Millar

Climbed this route 2/3 years back. Great climbing up to were the crack peters out, the traverse rightwards from there is superb and memorable. Definetly one of the best routes at its grade in my opninion on the Upper Wall. Note: Care needed on upper wall at the top of the route for loose rock for climber and belayer alike. --Dave Millar

Climbed this in Aug. 2008, great climbing in lower section of route, unfortunately after stepping left onto ledge to finish the route, encountered alot of loose rock which felt serious enough for both climber and belayer. Note: Care needed on top of route. --Dave Millar

Strongbow VS 4c * Climbed 27th May with Ivan Krella, quality limestone first two thirds of the route and great technical climbing at crux. Usual care needed at the top. Stake belay at top.

Mourne Rambler HVS 5a * Climbed 27th May with Ivan Krella, protection is adequate throughout the route, with a superb flakey crack and delicate traverse near the top. ** stars in my opinion. Usual care with loose band of rock at the top. One stake situated at top of route for belay.
